"ECOSCULPT 2010" IS COMING
 CELEBRATE SPRING AND EARTH DAY IN CINCINNATI BY CREATING A RECYCLABLE MATERIAL SCULPTURE FOR DISPLAY ON FOUNTAIN SQUARE

To mark the 40th anniversary of Earth Day in 2010, Duke Energy<http://www.duke-energy.com/ohio.asp> and Fountain Square Management Group, a subsidiary of 3CDC, present EcoSculpt, a three-week installation of original sculptures made of recycled and/or recyclable materials.

Artists are invited to submit concepts for individual sculptures and up to 24 entries will be selected to construct their sculptures for the display.

Full details regarding design, size, materials, and other criteria are now available, along with the application form, at http://www.myfountainsquare.com/ecosculpt.
Artists may submit proposals beginning today.  Deadline for submissions is March 12.  Selected artists will be notified on March 16.  Installation begins April 9 and sculptures will remain on display through April 29.

To encourage a high quality and number of submissions and to reward creative expression of the principles of EcoSculpt, cash prizes will be offered.  First prize is $500, second prize $250, third prize $150. Visitors to Fountain Square will also be able to vote on a People's Choice Award for a prize of $100.

Winners will be announced and prizes awarded during a noontime event on Fountain Square on Earth Day, April 22.

If you are an artist, a designer, a retailer, a green supplier, an ecologist, a recycler, a proponent of green living or all of the above, submit your design for the chance to construct it on Fountain Square.
