From meikenbary at hotmail.com Mon Jan 2 15:09:29 2006 From: meikenbary at hotmail.com (Michelle Eikenbary) Date: Mon, 02 Jan 2006 15:09:29 -0500 Subject: [Northside Art] Kari Rosenberg Benefit posting Message-ID: If it's possible, I would like this information about a benefit for a local artist to be distributed to all of the artists on the Art List: An amazing artist, designer and fellow Northsider, Kari Rosenberg, was killed in a car accident on I-75 about 4 months ago. Her life was taken at such a young age. She only lived to be 25. Aside from making a name for herself in the art world, Kari somehow was able to devote impressive amounts of time and energy to her family, friends and her love of music. A scholarship fund is being set up in Kari's name at Ohio University. In order to raise money for this scholarship we are hosting a benefit with a silent art auction and live bands. To make this a success we are requesting work from artists both locally and across the country. All proceeds are going directly into the Kari Rosenberg Scholarship Fund. If you would like to donate art and/or attend this event it would be hugely appreciated. We are taking 2-d or 3-d paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, etc. Whether you spent 2 months or 2 days making it... we want it! All artists have art lying around... this is your opportunity to put it to good use. Please submit art by January 16th. To: Primax Studio c/o Ali Calis 650 Northland Blvd Suite 50 Forest Park, Ohio 45240 The Kari Rosenberg Benefit is being held at the York Street Cafe in Newport, Ky on Friday Jan. 20th The silent art auction starts at 7pm and ends at 11pm. Bands will play until 2am. To find out more about the benefit and Kari Rosenberg please visit the website. http://karirosenberg.org/ I hope you can help, Michelle Eikenbary _________________________________________________________________ On the road to retirement?
